Blog catch-up!

So I'm sad to say that something happened to our camera and all of the pics I had on there were wiped off!  Major fail...especially since there were quiet a few that I hadn't downloaded to my computer.  So we are going to overlook those and jump right in to what our "fall" looks like for now.  This may be a "hodge-podge" of stuff but it's the easiest way to get back up to speed...it has been a while!

Baseball for Gabriel is in full swing!  :o)  And I am so excited to say that his team is the Texas Rangers!  So fun!  Gabriel has done well this season and is getting lots of infield practice which has been super fun to watch.  He has an amazing coach and it has been a great season so far.  He is mostly playing first base and pitcher and will make a couple of outs each game.  He has a "beautiful" swing and when he connects its gone!
Go Rangers!

One Friday night the weather was amazing so we made an impromptu trip to the Stockyards and enjoyed burgers on the patio.  The boys loved walking around!

They melt my heart!
 G and the silly cow!

Each week a classmate in G's class is highlighted as "Marvelous Me!"  They get to share things about themselves and the parents get to visit and talk with the class as well.  It was a fun experience.  Eric shared the fun things he and Gabe do together and I talked about my role at the church and shared the Armor of God and brought along armor for all the kiddos to dress up in.  Gabe also shared his favorite afternoon snack, popcorn, with his classmates.

G and his project!

 The class in their armor!

We love to go watch the SCS Eagles play on Friday nights!  Eric and Gabe have made most of the games and Noah and I were able to make the last one as well.  The boys and I actually went to the pep rally too!  We met up with Carrie and the girls and all went together.  The kiddos had a great time and Noah absolutely LOVES "Zeke the Eagle!"
Scout and Gabe!
Gabe, Emmalie (classmate), Cami Jo and Scout!

A little peek in to the FUN Noah had!

I also have to mention that while we are cheering on our little Rangers we are also cheering on the big Rangers!  We LOVE to watch the games and are so excited to see them in the championship series again!  CLAW AND ANTLERS...GO RANGERS!

Way to go G!

A few months back G earned a ticket to Six Flags for reading 300 minutes before the given deadline!  We are so proud of his efforts and for accomplishing the goals we set each day.  Some days it was tough finding time to squeeze it in but he worked hard and it definitely paid off in the end.  Unfortunately we couldn't find a day to go in the beginning of the summer so we had to tough it out during one of the hottest times of the summer.  It ended up being a great time though!  When we first arrived there weren't many people at the park and we were able to walk right up to several rides and hop on!  I can't remember ever being able to do that.  As the day went on the lines got longer but the wait was still decent and never more than 20 minutes or so.  That's huge for a Saturday in the summer!  G was such a trooper and rode a couple of the bigger roller coasters.  But his favorite was the Yosemite Sam Adventure!  It was fun to have a day just for him!

Pandamania - VBS 2011!

Last week was VBS at our church and we loved being a part of it.  I was a group leader to six precious 4 year olds and G was in a group of boys with an amazing leader.  Noah spent the week in the nursery being loved on by two sweet ladies.  The theme for this year was great and taught our kiddos some amazing truths.  I love the simple (yet so important) reminders that God loves us know matter what and that he is always there for us.  I feel so blessed that God hand picked me to be a part of this special week.  Watching the kiddos worship is by far my favorite!  And of course serving alongside some AMAZING people!

G's last year of VBS - too big too fast!
Ready for day #1!

Still celebrating...

...that's right I celebrated my birthday for as long as I could!  My final hoorah for the big day was enjoying the 9 to 5 Musical at Bass Hall with my mom.  The old country station that I often listen to was giving away tickets to the musical so of course when I heard about the contest I immediately text my mom and uncle and asked them to listen and try to win...obviously that would be an awesome birthday gift!  Eric jokes that my family are the only listeners of the station so our chances of winning would be pretty good.  HAHA!  My mom tried the first day and didn't have much luck.  But the next day I was super pumped to see the text, "I won the tickets!  Happy birthday!"  AAAAHHHHH!  I can't believe my mom really won and I think she was just as shocked as I was.  I invited her to come along and we had the best time!  We laughed so much and had some great time together!

Excited to have a night together!
Right before the show started...
Thanks for a great time, Mom!

Lets go Cats!

We were finally able to enjoy E's father's day gift...Fort Worth Cats tickets!  We love going to the Cats games and we always have a super fun time.  This time was really really hot but we had great seats and enjoyed it just the same.  Luckily the seats weren't full so we were able to move around to get out of the sun.  The boys loved watching Dodger run around.  Noah was so funny because he would dance to the music and would cheer for Dodger!  He definitely kept us entertained.  Snocones were a yummy treat and cooled us off while we watched the Cats win!  But the best part was celebrating Eric as a father again.  I know I've said it before but I will never stop thanking God for that man!

Most handsome men ever!

Big boy Noey!
Go Cats Go!

Pa-Pa's big day too!

My dad's birthday is the day after mine so we celebrated his big day too!  We had him over for burgers and cake.  G picked out the cake flavor so we enjoyed strawberry cake with white icing and sprinkles!  Of course there was lots of horse play and joking between dad and the boys!  It is a lot of fun to see them laugh and play together.  Luckily my dad didn't put up too much of a fight when I insisted on pics of the great afternoon...

Happy birthday to you...
 With the boys!
 We love you Pa-Pa!

Birthday week!

This year I had an AMAZING birthday and thanks to lots of special people I celebrated BIG for several days!  E brought me flowers to start "birthday week" off right, G reminded me often that it was my birthday month and he would help me with the chores (SCORE!), celebrated lunch and dinner with awesome friends/family, I had more yummy treats than I can count, blew out candles on two different cakes, had tons and tons of birthday wishes and received lots of super fantastic gifts!

Unfortunately I didn't get pictures of all the ways I celebrated but here are a few that show some of the GREATNESS that was birthday week!
